Setting our Course for the New Year
As we have welcomed in 2022, we wanted to thank everyone who follows, likes, comments, and shares our blog posts on Facebook and Instagram. We started Gott Coaching & Consulting at the beginning of 2020 not knowing where it would lead, or having any idea how the world would so drastically change in the two years that followed. This blog is a small, but meaningful piece of our business that keeps us connected to our larger community. We wanted to take this opportunity to update our regular followers and introduce ourselves and our mission to our new followers.
As stated on our website (gottcc.com), Gott Coaching & Consulting is dedicated to empowering others to live purposeful and joyful lives by investing in meaningful relationships, profound knowledge, and targeted strategies for success. We offer guidance and insight to assist schools, businesses, and individuals in exploring, developing, and implementing opportunities for growth, achievement, and fulfillment.
We were fortunate enough to contract with a school district last year to create and facilitate an Educational Leadership Program and worked with a cohort of amazing school leaders throughout the year that included a couple of face-to-face group sessions, several zoom sessions, school visits, and personalized coaching sessions each quarter. This year, we have grown to two new cohorts in addition to a second year follow up program for our graduates. While schools everywhere have faced unprecedented challenges the past two years, we have seen these educational leaders show incredible resilience and fortitude, and an amazing dedication to students. We have seen them struggle and feel overwhelmed, yet still put in the time and hard work to read, listen, unlearn, rethink, relearn, and continue to grow and move forward. We have been moved by their strength and determination to educate and care for students and their families.
A little more about us. Tim has over 37 years of experience as an educator, coach, and leader in diverse roles and settings, having served as a teacher, counselor, principal, director, coach, and state consultant over his career. He brings his whole heart to mentoring students, teachers, and educational leaders with his relational style of coaching. He leads and facilitates our Leader Program, coaches (via zoom) not only educators, but people from all walks of life and chosen professions, and he writes the insightful weekly blog. Since retiring from being principal, he has enjoyed teaching online Algebra II and Calculus classes.
Ellen has over two decades of extensive experience in and around educational settings, including teaching math, working with students in both Credit Retrieval and Alternative School programs at the high school level, and serving as the Teacher Certification Officer for Western Kentucky University, working with students, teachers, principals, superintendents, school districts, and certification consultants on the local, state, and national level. She assists with and helps facilitate the Leadership Program, serves as the photographer and editor of the blog, and runs the social media and business end of Gott Coaching & Consulting.
We appreciate you joining us on this journey. We look forward to the insights and experiences we will cultivate together in the coming year.
